Stuart Smith

Field Sports Director

Upon graduating in 2001 with a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science, Stuart moved to the United States from England to pursue a career in professional coaching. He currently holds the NSCAA Premier Diploma, Advanced National Diploma, and the National and Regional Goalkeeping Diplomas, along with the English Football Association C-License. Stuart is the head of training and professional development for the Armonk Indoor coaching staff.

Stuart is committed to the development of soccer at various levels. He has set up and coached in various Academy, Travel and Premier soccer programs across Fairfield County. Stuart has also been the Girls JV coach at Greenwich High School since 2003.

Barry Smith

Barry Smith

Soccer League Director

Barry comes from Northallerton in North Yorkshire, England. He currently holds two degrees, graduating in 2001 with a BSc hons in Sports Coaching and Exercise Science and then graduating in 2006 with a BSc hons in Sports Therapy.

After completing his studies, Barry moved to the United States to pursue a career in soccer coaching. Barry has worked with Greenwich Travel Soccer for the past 3 years. His soccer coaching qualifications include FA level 2 coaching licence and the NSCAA Advanced Regional. Barry is also the multi-sport camp director at Armonk Tennis Club.

Brady Miller

Brady Miller

Lacrosse Director

Brady hails from Manhasset NY, one of the preeminent lacrosse communities on Long Island. He is one of ten brothers, all of whom played top-flight lacrosse, including at the professional level.

Brady played Division 1 lacrosse at Towson University, graduating in 2003. He also played professionally with the Philadelphia Barrage in 2004. Following a short career in finance, Brady decided to follow his passion for lacrosse. He started his own lacrosse training company, Miller Lacrosse, which focuses on helping boys and girls advance their games in preparation for high school and college competition.

Through Miller Lacrosse, Brady has popularized his technique with individual training sessions, group and team clinics, and camps across the country. He is also a coach for Manhasset Youth Lacrosse.

Damion Storti

Damian Storti

Tennis Director

A native of Melbourne, Australia, Damian joined the Armonk team full time in February of 2008. He leads the Junior Development tennis programs at Armonk Indoor. He has also been a successful part of the Future Stars Tennis Camp at Purchase, directing the camp in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Damian was a nationally-ranked junior in Australia before pursuing his education in the United States while playing collegiate tennis. Damian graduated with honors from Morehead State University in 2007 with a degree in Health Promotion and Advertising. He was an integral part of the school's Division 1 tennis team and earned numerous awards, including Conference Player of the Week and Student-Athlete of the Week.

Todd Kane

Tennis Academy Director

Todd played tennis at the University of Arizona and University of Hartford. He has been coaching top level juniors for the past 12 years and has coached and placed kids in schools such as the University of Southern California, Princeton, Yale, Northwestern, Louisville, Brown, and others.

Todd believes that tennis teaches life lessons that children will bring with them into their adult lives. His favorite quote is by John Wooden, "Failure to prepare is preparing to fail."

Greg Johnstone

Greg Johnstone

Tennis Pro

Greg started playing tennis in his home country of England at the age of 5. As a junior, he played for Great Britain, ranking in the top 12 nationally and competing in various ITF tournaments across the world. Greg played collegiately at Morehead State University and the University of Kentucky. During his career, he won Conference Player of the Year (at MSU) and earned NCAA Division I ranking highs of #67 for singles and #14 for team (at UK).

Greg began coaching in the summer of 2005 and has coached players of all ages and abilities. As a true student of the game, Greg is a high-tempo, high-energy coach who puts emphasis on technique, along with physical and tactical awareness, to get the most out of his players.

Collin Torrence

Collin is from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He attended Bethany College, where he played #1 Singles and was the Regional MVP all four years. Collin is the Director of the Future Stars Summer Camp at Green Hollow and has been at Armonk Indoor for four years.

Collin also participates in the USTA Mixed Doubles League and brings a variety of strategy and energy to his clinics.

Jan Holaday

Jan Holaday

Tennis Pro

Jan has coached and taught all levels of tennis in the New York metro area since 1987. He played ITF and ATP events from 1981 to 1995. He also played NCAA and NAIA college tennis and was ranked #3 nationally in Men's Doubles in 1984.

Jan loves teaching all levels, from beginners to tournament players.

David Slater

David Slater

Tennis Pro

David is from St. Albans, England and is beginning his third season at Armonk Indoor. He also works with the women's teams and juniors at Armonk Tennis Club during the summer. He returned to coaching after working in finance for five years. David's previous coaching experience includes being a part-time teaching pro at Tamarak Country Club during the summer of 2007. In 2003, he was the assistant coach of Southeastern Louisiana University, where he ran the women's team.

David graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Marist College, where he was a team captain and led the tennis program to the school's best seaspn record (22-3). He also led the team to its fifth consecutive MAAC Conference championship and an automatic NCAA tournament appearance. As a junior player in England, David held both National and European rankings before moving to the United States for college.
